Well, that was it. It
really didn't take much to realise that video has place on Trainspotter
USA.com. What kind of place I don't know. What I know is that I enjoy
shooting the video and editing a simple film is easy in iMovie. I was
really impressed with what I put together on the SP daylight so I
figured that there is no excuse not to add video to the site.
As luck
would have it there was a sale on at National Camera at this time so I
went down to see what was on offer. After some extensive research and
serious discussion with a Canon Sales rep I came away with a Canon
Vixia HG20 HD digital video camera. I am very excited to bring video to
you on Trainspotter-USA.com. Obviously the site will undergo some
changes and things might look different from month to month. Hopefully
though soon I will come up with an arrangement I like.
Initially
I have a lot of video and not many photos as I have concentrated on the
videoing and learning what my "new toy" will do. So for this one report
I'll let the films for the month speak for themselves.

At this point I think
it is worth re-iterating the Trainspotter-USA philosophy. It's not
about beautifully lit technically perfect pictures and film that you
find on places like railpictures.net . Trainspotter-USA is about being
lineside and reporting what I see. Maybe some of the fun and excitement
will come over to you. I think video will be great for that. I hope you
enjoy the new video addition to Trainspotter-USA.com
